Travel advice from Mr Lonely Planet

A Lonely Planet guidebook is a must have travel companion.

Lonely Planet was founded by Britons Tony and Maureen Wheeler in 1973 and began with the first publication ‘Across Asia on the Cheap’.

Since its inspiring beginning it has grown into one of the largest and most trusted travel-guide publications around the world.

The co-founder of Lonely Planet, Tony Wheeler, went straight from the airport to the studio to join Catriona Rowntree on Journeys To Come to share his travel wisdom and shed some light on what it’s like cruising on a traditional English narrow boat.
